Naomi Campbell - No Drunken Stumble For Campbell Says Rep

British supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL has laughed off reports she collapsed after a recent reportedly boozy night in Italy - insisting she was just playing a game with pals.

The catwalk queen was snapped earlier this week (begs09Mon08) seemingly unable to stand, while being surrounded by male friends who look as though they are battling to help the beauty to her feet.

Reports suggested the star, who was holidaying on the Italian island of Capri, had become so intoxicated while partying, she couldn't stand and had to be carried back to her hotel by concerned pals.

However, the star's representative states the 38-year-old was not suffering the effects of a heavy night of drinking, but, in fact, was playing a "trust" game with friends.

The representative tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "It was just a bit of fun and not down to drink. Naomi was playing this trust game, where you fall into a friend's arms."

And in a bizarre twist, the representative also blames Italy's scorching temperatures on the stumble: "It's very hot there, so that could also have had something to do with it."

The SoCal alt-metal foursome Alien Ant Farm formed in 1996 with the wild singer/songwriter Dryden Mitchell, guitar player Terry Corso, bassist Tye Zamora, and drummer Mike Cosgrove. Tapes 'n Tapes, Walk It Off Album Review

Tapes 'n Tapes

Walk It Off

Rough Trade

Album Review

Tapes 'n Tapes became instant US indie darlings with their debut The Loon, a spectacularly off-beat amalgam of rock's take on folk. The follow-up finds the band with a fuzzbox and a Deep Purple vibe on top of their still left-leaning eclectic taste. In so doing, they notch up the interest levels significantly. Talking Heads never made a disc so interesting, so multi-layered, so full of life. Tapes 'n Tapes seemingly start with no preset idea of what makes a song, but then find themselves surrounded by instantly-addictive hooks.

If this were their first, they could find themselves lumped in with British Sea Power, or even Arcade Fire at a push, but there is more melody than either. The fantastic thrash throughout is early-REM/ Only Ones compelling, but when it comes down the band pull off a trick they managed only occasionally on the debut - the slow songs are full of interest too, and aren't just a counterpoint to the faster material. Genuinely intelligent and enjoyable, Tapes 'n Tapes deserve a massive stage.

Rating 9/10
